"Sometimes I think I grew up faster from losing than by winning."

"SPIRT OF SPORT" Six Living Sports Legends To commermorate the 15th Anniversary Year of the Special Olympics, six outstanding athletes were chosen by the Special Olympics to represent the "Spirit of Sport". Noted American artist, Robert Peak, asked these athletes to express their personal feelings on the true meaning of sport, and translated each athlete's words into art, creating six beautiful and meaningful paintings on the "Spirt of Sport". Prints of these paintings were made and sold to raise funds for the mentally retared individuals, who participate in the Special Olympics.
